Professional Background
I hold a BSc in Dietetics and a Master's degree in the management of Diabetes, providing me with a strong foundation in human nutrition and expertise in managing both T1 and T2 Diabetes.
With 12 years of experience in the field, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations across various healthcare settings. After four years in the South African public sector, I transitioned into private practice and founded Thrive Nutrition and Fitness—a company that blends my extensive nutrition knowledge with over 14 years of experience in the fitness industry. Thrive initially focused on in-person group weight loss programs, where participants typically achieved a clinically significant 10% reduction in body weight, helping to lower the risk of lifestyle-related conditions. During the pandemic, Thrive adapted to an online model, now offering personalized 6- and 12-week weight loss programs.
I also spent three years working in the UK, most recently as an Advanced Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Dietitian at Cambridge University Hospital Trust, before returning to South Africa in 2024.
